We have now installed purpose built kiln facilityies which will dry our timber to the appropriate moisture content - ready for preservative treatment to be applied to our Good Wood range of timbers.
It is crucial that excess moisture is removed from timber before the preservative treatment process to allow an appropriate protection. Our range of Good Wood fencing timbers carry a 15 year warranty against decay and insect attack.

Our range of Good Wood fence posts now carry a distinctive Taylormade year brand for easy identification. The TM (Taylormade) is followed by the last two digits of the year.
Good Wood fence posts are manufactured purely from redwood species, kiln dried and then preservative treated to meet Use Class 4 requirements - external ground contact applications. Like the rest of the Good Wood fencing range these posts carry a 15 year warranty against decay and insect attack.

As part of our drive to ever improve our environmental standards we now have recycling facilities on site to make the best use of waste cardboard and strapping from our everyday operations.
On average we are now recycling 2 tonnes of cardboard and strapping per month.

A built-in brown colour for preservative treatments has always been a key requirement for our fencing customers.

With the latest Tanatone treatment available from Taylormade Timber, the brown colouration has a much more even and consistent coverage from the initial treatment as well as superior durability, once the timbers are installed.
